March has been a special month for our seniors as we began our weekly Friday Social Outing to the beautiful Puckey’s Lagoon in Wollongong. Surrounded by peaceful nature and fresh ocean air, this outing has quickly become one of the highlights of the week.
Each Friday, our seniors take a short trip to Wollongong where they can enjoy the calm atmosphere of Puckey’s Lagoon, a scenic coastal wetland known for its walking paths, birdlife, and tranquil water views. The gentle environment makes it a perfect place for seniors to relax, walk at their own pace, and spend meaningful time together.
During the outing, our participants enjoy light walks, friendly conversations, and moments of quiet reflection while taking in the natural beauty of the lagoon. For many seniors, simply sitting together and enjoying the view brings a sense of peace and joy.
More importantly, these outings help strengthen friendships and reduce social isolation. Sharing laughter, stories, and fresh air creates wonderful memories and encourages active and healthy ageing.
At Mango Cook, we believe wellbeing is not only about physical health but also about connection, community, and meaningful experiences. Our Friday outings to Puckey’s Lagoon are a small but meaningful way to support the happiness and wellbeing of our seniors.

3월에는 어르신들과 함께 매주 금요일 울릉공(Wollongong)에 위치한 Puckey’s Lagoon으로 소셜 아웃팅을 진행하고 있습니다. 아름다운 자연과 시원한 바닷바람을 느낄 수 있는 이곳은 어르신들께 편안한 휴식과 즐거운 시간을 선사하는 특별한 장소입니다.
어르신들은 금요일마다 함께 울릉공을 방문하여 Puckey’s Lagoon의 평화로운 자연 환경 속에서 산책도 하고, 서로 담소를 나누며 여유로운 시간을 보내고 계십니다. 이곳은 습지와 산책로, 다양한 새들을 볼 수 있는 자연 공간으로 어르신들이 천천히 걸으며 자연을 즐기기에 매우 좋은 장소입니다.
아웃팅 동안 어르신들은 가벼운 산책을 하거나 벤치에 앉아 경치를 바라보며 서로 이야기를 나누는 시간을 가지십니다. 함께 웃고 이야기하는 이러한 시간들은 어르신들께 큰 즐거움과 활력을 선물합니다.
특히 이러한 소셜 아웃팅은 어르신들의 사회적 교류를 늘리고 외로움을 줄이는 데 큰 도움이 됩니다.
