이번 교육에서는 각 개인의 문화적 정체성을 존중하고, 연령·민족·종교·언어 등 어떠한 기준으로도 선입견을 갖지 않는 공정한 돌봄의 중요성을 다루었습니다. 또한 대상자의 문화적 선호와 필요를 반영한 돌봄, 명확하고 효과적인 의사소통, 그리고 차별 없는 환경 조성을 통해 모든 대상자가 안전하고 존엄하게 돌봄을 받을 수 있도록 지속적인 성찰과 실무 개선의 필요성을 함께 나누었습니다.

This month’s staff training at KA focused on Cultural Competence & Diversity, highlighting the importance of respecting individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and delivering person-centred care. In Australia’s multicultural society, cultural awareness is a fundamental part of providing high-quality aged care services.
The training emphasised respecting each person’s cultural identity, providing fair and unbiased support, and recognising individual cultural preferences and needs in care delivery. Staff also explored the importance of effective communication and creating an inclusive, non-discriminatory environment where all clients feel safe, respected, and treated with dignity. Ongoing reflection and continuous improvement in practice were key themes throughout the session.
